Senate Wordpress Theme Installation

• Download the zipped file and extract it,
• Upload the senate folder in senate folder into wp-content/themes/,
• Upload the featured-content-gallery folder in plugin folder into wp-content/plugins,
• Activate the theme and activate the plugin from your wordpress admin panel.

Theme Options

• Enter Appearance/Senate Options,
• Fill in the fields and save changes.
• If you do not want to use the featured gallery plugin, disable it from this page.

Plugin Options

• Enter Settings/Fetured Content Gallery,
• Write the Category Name that you want it to be featured,
• Write the number of Items to display,
• In Gallery Style, Gallery width 625, Gallery height 240 and Text Overlay height 80,
• Gallery border color #dddddd, Galery background color #000000, Galler text color #ffffff,
• Number of words in text overlay can be 40,
• Save the changes.

Ads and Banner Options

• 468*60 Adsense can be set from the theme options panel,
• For the 150*150 Banners on right sidebar, open banners.php in banners folder in theme folder,
• Change the urls and banner images urls,
• You can delete some of the 150*150 banners or add new banners,

Do not remove the links in footer.

     you need to use the wordpress thumbnail function. when you are writting a new post, you can see the function link in right bottom.

   Hi, I have been trying to configure the thumbnail image for some time and I am unable to do so. Do I have to create a custom field for that? If so, what is the key for the field.

     No, you do not use the custom fields part. If you are using wordpress 2.9 or above, you should see the make thumbnail link on right side of the Add New Post page. You should use that wordpress function.

   I am sorry..but the same problem again..and I cannot see make thumbnail link on right side of the Add New Post page ??

     here is screenshots:

     1- when you enter Posts/Add New, you should see this link: http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/1790/89977194.jpg

     2- then you upload an image and you will see this link: http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/2286/46778749.jpg .

     if you do not see the set thumbnail link, upload the theme again.
